Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know my good friend Jim Suhler, guitarist for George Thorogood and the Destroyers has asked me to go on tour in Europe with his band "Jim Suhler and Monkey Beat" this September. The tour is scheduled to begin on the 6th at Blues Garage in Hanover Germany and will wind it's way through Belgium and beyond. You can keep up to date on the tour with Jim's website www.jimsuhler.com and once I get up and rollin with my new laptop, I'll be posting new blogs, photos and videos when and where I can.
I've sat in on a couple of gigs with some new friends in California in the last week. One of them an amazing blues musician, who also is a blues DJ on Sirius Satelitte radio here in New York; Early Times. We jammed at a place called the Blue Lamp in Sacramento last week. Early is a blues legend there and had a huge turnout. I sat in while his friend Neil Franklin on the drums took a break - Neil is a super cool guy who and used to pound the skins for a band named Kai Kln. The next night I sat in with "Mach 5", or as they're known, the Sacramento Super Group, featuring top musicians from several former bands around town including Oleander, Magnolia Thunderfinger, Attica, The LIttle Elvis' and The Trouble Makers. It was good fun. More to come.. stay tuned!
